Message from the Principal


Greetings from Murphy Ranch Elementary School!

We are looking forward to another terrific year at “The Ranch” and anticipate great continued success for all of our students. Murphy Ranch is a school with a small community, hometown feel coupled with goals for higher learning and academic preparedness of our students both presently and in the future. Our goal is to create a learning landscape where students are challenged to grow, and can experience safety, relevance, and a desire for academic engagement and achievement. In addition, we want school to be a fun environment where children can develop friendships and become socially well-rounded and others-minded. We are fortunate to have highly qualified teachers and experienced staff members with a history of leading children to high achievement, and who care about individual children’s needs and are committed to making these goals a reality.

Keeping us in the forefront of today’s quickly changing pace in education is our focus on technology as a tool for learning. Our classrooms are equipped with new technology designed to make learning engaging and current. We have new computer programs ready for use in supporting all levels of learners in the core subjects. These advances are a tremendous help in aiding our teachers as they teach to the California State Academic Standards, and as they develop their instruction and meet the diverse needs of their students.

The Ranch is also known for its amazing parental support and involvement. Our PTA has continued to work through the summer in planning programs and activities which will enrich our school with engaging activities and academic support, such as our Meet the Masters Art Program, Science Assemblies and Field Study Trips. During the school year, parents can be found assisting teachers and staff members on our campus. Together, our staff, teachers, parents and children make “The Ranch” the best in the west!
