Enrollment Information


Kindergarten Registration:
The registration period for kindergarten begins on March 4th and runs through March 15th. 
Although you may register your child at any time beginning March 4, until the school closes for the summer, it is highly recommended that you register your child as soon as possible as the classes fill up rapidly and we must determine whether additional staff will need to be hired.
 
Intradistrict and Interdistrict Permits:
Open Enrollment for permits begins on March 4th and ends March 15th.
If you are seeking enrollment to a school in the East Whittier City School District and you live within another school district’s boundaries, you must have an approved permit from your district to submit to us.  If you are seeking enrollment to a school in the East Whittier City School District and you live within the boundaries of our District, we will provide you with the necessary permit when you come to the permit office (room 9) at the District.  If you have any questions please feel free to call the permit office at (562) 907-5931.
 
Returning Students on Permits:
Notification of Return forms will be mailed to the parents of returning students on permits in early March.
Deadline date for Notification of Return forms for returning intradistrict permit students is April 16th.
Deadline date for Notification of Return forms for returning interdistrict permit students is May 16th.
Failure to submit the Notification of Return form by the deadline date may result in losing your student’s spot for the following school year.
 
Permit Office Hours:
The permit office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.).
